Under the auspices of Italian Presidency of G7 on Security and Hate Speech

AMBASSADOR RAFFAELE TROMBETTA G7/G20 SHERPA AND THE AIDLR SECRETARY GENERAL’S CONVERSATION AT THE G7 CONFERENCE ON SECURITY AND HATE SPEECH

During the conference held in Rome under the Auspices of the Italian Presidency of the G7, the Secretary General of the AIDLR, Dr. Liviu Olteanu, had an important conversation with His Excellency, AMBASSADOR RAFFAELE TROMBETTA, G7/G20 Sherpa to the Italian Prime Minister. HIs officecreated the framework and organized the international conference on «Security and Hate Speech». On that occasion, Olteanu expressed the AIDLR’s strong support for regional and international cooperation with the Italian Presidency of the G7/G20, and with all actors, about concerned and sensitive issues as ‘religion, peace and security’, contributing to it by actors’ training, and defending the respect of the freedom of religion and freedom of expression for all people, both by states or non-states actors ; he also stressed the special role of diplomats, religious leaders, the media, lawyers and non-governmental organizations that can work together to keep and protect the free speech and freedom of conscience and religion, a climate of concord and understanding between people, cultures and religions, in favor of peace and security, everywhere.
